Do u know how delivery / distribution takes place? I have made an offer to purchase from a dealer in JHB for a Red Manual standard, but have had no feedback from him.
Hi PJ. There is a supply shortage at the moment, so probably that's the delay. We also do not have any RED's right now. But we do have Silver, Dark Grey, and Black. Toyota SA chose to introduce this car, quite soon, compared to the global launch in other countries, so right now, we are not the only country with a shortage. I have read accounts, of similar issues in Australia - but hopefully towards the latter part of the year, it should start improving!
I waited amonth and still my dealer is not able to tell me anything. Do you have any additional info on delevry dates or delay times for a red GT 86?

I just had a word with our Stock Controller here. Unfortunately waiting period can take right up to 5 months at the moment. Sometimes it arrives quicker, but no guarantee. Toyota SA has contacted the dealers for a survey regarding the 86 - and we have informed them about these abnormally long waiting periods. I am positive the situation will start improving by next year.

I bought the topcar magazine for December, the one with the best driving roads in SA and I swear that they stole my car off the ship to do the Gauteng / Freestate drive. Where di they sudenly get a Red 86 for the article. It broke my heart when I saw the cover
