With a little tuning by Australian Tuning house, Castle Hill Performance Centre, this in-depth video shows you step-by-step as they get this Toyota 86 cranking a whopping 211 Kw! It initially measures 103 Kw on their Dyno, after doing their magic, a re-test records an impressive 211Kw. You may be thinking why it only produced 103 Kw standard when Toyota quotes it at 147 Kw. The answer for this is basically a combination of A) Different dyno’s tend to give differing readings. and B) Manufacturers give you readings based on the output at the crankshaft, whereas the dyno’s give you actual readings at the wheels, so some of this power is lost during the journey through the drive-train, dif and wheels. Without further ado, here goes the goods.
Please note that this is not an endorsement of any official modification to your 86. And doing so may or may not void your manufacturer’s warranty!
