Exclusive DS Black Toyota 86 in Matte Wrap

What do you get when you take a stock standard Toyota 86, wrap it in matte black, add some neon decals, and matching 18″ mag wheels?

This breathtaking never-seen-before stunner! The Toyota 86 on it’s own is already a major head-turner. So you can imagine, with an appearance like this, you are sure to run into admiring onlookers at just about every stop. It’s been on our showroom floor a few days now, but people still HAVE to stop when entering our dealership and give the gorgeous black car a closer inspection.

The DS Black 86 was the idea of Durban South Toyota’s managing director, and since then all of us had a little input as we first chose the wrap, the design and colour of the decals and finally what turned out to be the toughest choice – getting the mag wheels right. As you will see in the photos, we first had it fitted with 17″ A-Line Catalunya wheels, and although myself personally, thought it looked good in them, most of our team felt it needed something a bit more aggressive. We turned to A-Line again, and first noticed this matte black finish wheel called ‘Demon’ (name alone is ominous!), on their website. Most of us agreed this wheel was ‘The One’, but it took great work from our ‘New Vehicles Department’ Manager, Naeem, to finally source the wheel, as A-Line themselves had said that the ‘Demon’ wheel was out of stock nationwide. Eventually Supaquick Prospecton came through for us, and fitted it with 18″ low profile tyres.

The vinyl wrap was done by the best company in our opinion doing this sort of stuff – Sharpline Graphics! Once you start a project like this, its really difficult to know when to stop, but for the future, there’s even talk of re-doing the seats in RED leather! And there have been many more great ideas suggested on the FT86Club Forum. (Thanks guys, Woot!).
